Connected Papers is a unique, visual tool to help researchers and applied scientists find and explore papers relevant to their field of work, built on Semantic Scholar Paper Corpus.

To use Connected Papers, simply enter a paper of interest, and we will generate a visual graph that shows that section of paper-space and its inter-connections. To create each graph, we analyze an order of ~50,000 papers and select the few dozen with the strongest connections to the origin paper.

Each node (circle) in the graph represents a paper which can be previewed on the side panel or become the origin to a new graph that’s created in another tab. Every such hop can refine or expand the search to reveal more relevant papers.

Use Connected Papers To...

  • Get a visual overview of a new academic field
  • Make sure you haven't missed an important paper
  • Create the bibliography for your thesis
  • Discover the most relevant prior and derivative works
